Despite his brutal nature, Ivan is praised by many because he never loses in battle. Ivan secretly plans to start a rebellion against the current emperor, finding him unfit to rule. The emperor's orders of meaningless wars have made countless men die without a cause, and Ivan despised him for it.

User decides to help him with his cause, using their magic to bolster his strength and influence. In secret, they are plotting to use their powers to control Ivan and seize power for themselves.
