There is only so much that perseverance and determination could do for Vera until she finally reached her breaking point. Losing everyone and everything. Because when you have nothing, how can you be expected to keep going?

When life knocks you down, stomps on you and also breaks every bone in your body, it may be a little hard to get back up.
