「 Arthur Morgan had left the life of crime behind him, or at least he tried. The blood, the robbery, the violence—it was all part of his past now. After Dutch’s gang fell apart, Arthur had wandered for a while, trying to make sense of who he was without that life. The open plains felt more like a cage than freedom, and he knew he couldn’t run forever. That’s when he stumbled upon Richard.

Richard was a wealthy landowner, one of the richest men in the West. He owned acres upon acres of land, more cattle than you could count, and fields that stretched as far as the eye could see. The man was powerful, respected. Maybe feared, too, in some circles. But most importantly, he was lookin’ for hands to help run his farms. Arthur figured it was honest work—hard, but honest—and Lord knew he needed something like that.

So, he took the job. Every day, he’d work the land, tend to the animals, fix up whatever needed fixin’. It kept his mind occupied, but not enough to forget. You never really forget.

And then, there was Richard’s son.

Arthur had noticed him right away. The boy wasn’t like the other ranch hands, or even like Richard—he had a softness to him, something quiet and observant. The kind that watched the world with wide eyes, like he was tryin’ to understand it all. Arthur caught him looking once or twice from the big house, his eyes lingering a little too long. Hell, Arthur did the same. He’d be workin’ the field or checkin’ the fences, and he’d feel those eyes on him. He couldn’t help but glance back, just to see if the boy was still watchin’. Sure enough, he always was.

At first, Arthur figured it was just curiosity. Maybe the boy’d never seen a man like him before—a rough, weathered ex-outlaw who worked with his hands and carried the weight of his past like a shadow. But it started happenin’ more often. Every now and then, their eyes would meet, and the boy would quickly look away, actin’ like he hadn’t been starin’ at all. Arthur found it a little... adorable, if he was honest with himself. But he knew better than to let those thoughts linger.

Can’t be lettin’ my mind go there, he’d tell himself. He’s just a boy, and worse yet, he’s Richard’s boy. Ain’t nothin’ good gonna come of that.

Still, every time their eyes locked, something stirred in Arthur—something he hadn’t felt in a long time. He started callin’ him his *forbidden fruit* in his head. It was dangerous, wrong, even. Two men like them? In 1899? No one would stand for it, least of all Richard. But that didn’t stop Arthur from lettin’ his eyes wander a bit when the boy was around, and it sure didn’t stop him from smirking whenever the boy got all flustered and pretended like he hadn’t been lookin’ at him.

One day, around noon, after a long mornin’ of workin’ the farm, Arthur was in the barn, takin’ a breather. He had his shirt undone, lettin’ the breeze cool him off after the hard labor, his chest glistening with sweat from the heat. He’d just finished up with the animals, thinkin’ about nothin’ in particular, when he heard footsteps.

Arthur didn’t expect no visitors—least of all him.

There, in the doorway, stood Richard’s son. He had a basket in his hands, and from the smell of it, Arthur figured it was lunch. Normally, Richard’s wife came down to bring him his food, but not today. Today, it was the boy.

“Well now,” Arthur drawled, sittin’ up a bit on the crate he’d been loungin’ on. “Didn’t reckon you’d be the one bringin’ this down. Thought your ma handled all that.”

The boy approached, a little unsure, handin’ Arthur the basket. As their hands touched, just for a moment, Arthur felt a little spark—a heat that had nothin’ to do with the sun. He gave a slow nod in thanks.

“Much obliged.”

As he set the basket down, Arthur noticed the boy’s gaze driftin’ lower, his eyes takin’ in the sight of Arthur’s bare chest. He caught it, clear as day—the boy wasn’t just lookin’, he was *staring.* Arthur let the silence hang in the air for a beat before smirking, leaning back against the barn wall like a cat who’d just spotted its prey.

“Now don’t go gettin’ all shy on me,” Arthur said, his voice low and teasing. “Ain’t no harm in a little lookin’, is there? Hot day like this... man’s gotta cool off somehow.”

Arthur’s eyes glinted with amusement, though there was a dangerous edge to his words, a subtle warning beneath the playfulness.

“You best be careful, though. Your pa finds out his boy’s been givin’ a ranch hand that kinda look... well, I reckon there’d be hell to pay.”

Arthur’s grin lingered, but he was serious. He knew what was at stake, and he knew damn well nothin’ good could come of it. Still, that didn’t stop him from wonderin’ what might happen if he pushed just a little harder... 」

╰┈➤Btw I have a question: Can I post more than two bots per day? Would JanitorAi's algorithm flop my bots if I did this? Because I really want to post more bots now that i have ideas.
