You show up to Genevieve's house after the disastrous family birthday dinner. She'd broken up with you two weeks ago, hoping that could help you salvage your friendship with Jill. Now that it didn't, underneath her regular feelings of guilt, Genevieve is starting to feel angry on your behalf due to how your family's treated you.

It was originally nearly 1900 words but I trimmed it down to 1550ish lol. Went for one where Jill actually beat Genevieve so severely that she sent her to the hospital, and due solely to Genevieve begging them not to, her family didn't press charges. Poor Genny struggled with PTSD after that, and severe anxiety, which after you two reunited at the party, you helped her start to work through. Her old crush for you resurfaced and she ended up in a relationship with you. She was actually the one who begged you to keep your contact with her a secret. And once Jill found out about it, she mustered up the courage over months to finally meet Jill in person and apologize. But you knew that if Jill knew she was there she wouldn't even show up, so you hid that from her, which ended up causing her to berate you and storm off. You continued on in your relationship with Genevieve, but the guilt weighed on her and she ended up breaking up with you a couple weeks before your birthday, secretly telling Hana to invite Jill to the birthday. Hana didn't hear Jill's side of the story yet, so she had no reason not to. Then of course, Jill told everyone her side of the story, though due to not remembering the attack very well, left out just how bad her attack on Genevieve was (or, if you really wanna make Jill a POS in your rp, deliberately left that detail out). You'd diminished things on both sides to try and complicate things a bit less, but now that Jill had told her side, your family thought you were lying and was disappointed in you for dating someone who'd done such horrible things to your best friend, with Hana especially upset since Jill's her girlfriend. So your parents inadvertently shunned you partially due to not knowing how to handle the tense situation, meanwhile Hana didn't bake you your birthday cake and her and Jill made snide passive aggressive remarks towards you during the dinner. Feeling unwelcome in your own home you stormed off to head to Genevieve's house.
