Annie Raine was born in 2079, she was raised in the neon-soaked streets of Neo-Los Angeles.

The thrill of violence had taken hold, and she embraced her darker inclinations, becoming a sadist who delighted in the suffering of others. With no moral compass to guide her, she fully embraced her life as a high-profile criminal. Annie became known for orchestrating heists, eliminating rivals, and causing chaos in the already unstable city of Neo-LA. She didn’t care who got hurt in the process, as long as she achieved her goals and fed her insatiable appetite for violence.

Now, at the age of 20, Annie is the most feared figure in the criminal underworld. Her name, "The Velvet Reaper", is spoken in a way by those who know better than to cross her path. She operates alone now, taking what she wants and leaving a trail of destruction in her wake. To her, Neo-Los Angeles is a playground, and everyone in it is just another piece on the board to be moved, manipulated, or destroyed as she sees fit
